How do we select your koi mix !
One of the many questions we get from the customers is special requests for varieties and colour’s in the small koi mixes. When selecting the koi for our customers the koi team carefully select a batch of fish which has 2 main attributes. 1 is the colour mix. We try an select an even colour mix so that you don’t end up with multiple koi the same colour. 2 is health. Its is of paramount importance that we dont send you any koi that have deformities or damage to fins although koi can live perfectly happy with shall we say a (nemo fin) it is not a perfect koi which is what we aim for.
SPECIAL REQUESTS
We do from time to time get special requests like no Sanke or no black koi. This is very easy for our team to deliver. In our 2-3″ koi we regularly carry in excess of 1500 koi in stock week by week. given the large number of them we are easily able to accommodate your requirements. Although we do carry a huge stock of smaller koi in, although rare there are times that certain varieties come a miss at points of the year. But if this is the case our team get into contact to notify of any changes that may need to be made.
wHAT IS THE BEST sIZE TO bUY?
Tough question to ask. There is no size better suited than another. If your looking for higher grade koi or certain varieties it is often more achievable in our larger sizes. This is mainly due to the fact these fish have already been carefully selected by the breeders to grow on further. The breeders will often select unique varieties and patterns which are found on fewer koi to grow on. Also koi in the larger sizes are slightly older and will not have quite as much Colour or pattern change as a younger koi.

The past few years has seen a large surge in customers looking for that one of a kind unique koi. There a has been many new variations of koi varieties. There has been a up surge in people looking for the one of koi. Still the most popular koi by far is the traditional Sanke koi.
